Watson Defends Stewart, Actress Emma Watson has defended Kristen Stewart for cheating on Robert Pattinson.
Stewart had a fling with married director Rupert Sanders in 2012, leading to a brief break-up with her boyfriend Pattinson. Watson believes "everyone makes mistakes".
"Kristen is human, just like everybody else, and she's so young. Everyone makes mistakes, everyone. It's not fair to consider them matters of public interest," contactmusic.com quoted the 22-year-old as saying. Speaking with Vanity Fair Italia Emma says the media and the fans had absolutely no right to turn on Kristen the way they did when they learned she’d cheated on Pattison.
Sometimes, people tend to forget that celebrities are also human, even if they’re rich and famous and appear as if wanting for nothing, she says.
“Those who criticized her are the same people that think that being rich and famous is like being covered in some kind of magic powder that makes life perfect: Nothing can go wrong in your wonderful world,” Emma says.
“For these people, Kristen deserves all the bad things that have been thrown at her because she had an amazing life and she ruined it,” she adds.
Even if that were the case, Kristen too is prone to making mistakes and, just like everyone else, she should be allowed to make her own without being judged for it.
