Melissa Mccarthy Weight Loss / Melissa McCarthy's Weight Struggles, Melissa McCarthy says she is still trying to lose weight, a task she calls a "work in progress," but adds that she currently has other things to worry about. The 41-year-old has been gaining popularity in the past year. She won her first Emmy for her role in the CBS sitcom "Mike & Molly," which premiered last year and depicts an overweight couple who met at an Overeaters' Anonymous meeting, and gained praise for her supporting part in the 2011 female comedy movie "Bridesmaids" and her hosting stint on "Saturday Night Live."
The Illinois native recently told Anderson Cooper on his daytime talk show "Anderson," in an episode that aired on Monday, November 28, that she continues to struggle with her weight, saying: "I've been up and down. I've been much thinner since my second baby. I'm still working on it.
It's a work in progress." McCarthy is married to fellow actor Ben Falcone and the couple have two daughters, Vivian, 5, and Georgette, 2. But despite running after two little kids, eating healthy and attending Pilates classes and tennis lessons on a daily basis, she admits she can't shed the pounds. McCarthy and husband Ben Falcone welcomed baby Georgette in March of 2010. She joins big sister Vivian, who is 4.
"I want them to be confident, strong, healthy, happy women and I want them to define themselves by their actions and what they do and how they treat other people," the actress said about her daughters.
