Heart Attack Grill Spokesman, Heart Attack Grill's 'spokesman' dies of heart attack, The unofficial spokesman for the infamous Las Vegas restaurant Heart Attack Grill has, you guessed it, died of a heart attack. He is the restaurant's second spokesperson to die in the last two years.
John Alleman, 52, suffered the heart attack last week while waiting at a bus stop in front of the restaurant, located inside the Neonopolis entertainment complex and shopping mall, the newspaper reported. He was taken off life support Monday, restaurant owner Jon Basso told the Sun.
In its story, the newspaper described Heart Attack Grill as a "medically themed restaurant ... famous for its high-calorie menu that includes a record-breaking 9,982-calorie, 3-pound Quadruple Bypass Burger."
"He lived a very full life," Basso told the Sun. "He will be missed."
Alleman was not an employee of the restaurant, but he was a frequent customer, and his likeness was used by the restaurant on its menus and merchandise. When not at the restaurant, the Sun says, he was employed as a security guard at an abandoned construction project.
Alleman's death is just the latest in a string of medical-related calamities to hit the restaurant, according to the Sun. In March 2011, an earlier unofficial spokesman, 575-pound Blair "Gentle Giant" River, died of flu-related pneumonia.
In February 2012, two customers suffered heart-related ailments within two weeks of each other while eating at the restaurant.
